ROH Women’s Wednesday Results 4/28/21, Women’s Title Tournament News

The reboot of the Ring Of Honor women’s division premiered on YouTube on 4/28/21 with a show called ROH Women’s Division Wednesday. It was taped from Baltimore, Maryland, USA 🇺🇸 at UMBC Event Center. Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman, and Maria Kanellis-Bennett were the broadcast team. There was only one match on the card and the whole thing lasted 25 minutes.

Quinn McKay opened the show but she wasn’t with everyone else at the venue by the looks of things. She said this would be a weekly show leading up to a women’s title tournament this summer for the vacant ROH Women’s Title. She said Maria Kanellis-Bennett is a member of the ROH Board who will  announce the first name in the tournament on next week’s show. She then turned the show over to Maria at the venue.

Maria walked out on stage and gave a commanding and almost heel level promo. She said as a member of the ROH Board, she was bringing back the ROH Women’s Division. She recapped McKay’s notes on the title tournament this summer. She said tonight was going to be all about new faces getting the stage for a chance to impress. She walked over to the broadcast table and became a friendly babyface full of smiles with a happy change of tone.

Hyan and Laynie Luck went to a 15-minute time limit draw with Rok-C and Max The Impaler. Everyone but Max respected the code of honor and shook hands while Max stormed out of the ring in frustration. All four women are well known to indie pro wrestling fans. Hyan and Rok-C are stars out of Texas who have been getting work in other promotions around the country. Luck is currently the Zelo Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion and the Freelance Underground Independent Champion. Max has held the OVW Women’s Title, the IWA Mid-South Women’s Title, and the H20 Women’s Title.
