Sendai Girls “BIG SHOW In Niigata” pay-per-view results from Niigata, Japan πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ at Niigata City Gymnasium on 6/27/21 live on ZAIKO:

This show will only be available to view until 6/30/21 at 23:59 Japan Time. It’s $35 USD.

Meiko Satomura will be gone from the company and Japan for an indefinite amount of time. A few weeks ago she announced that she will be moving to England after this show to focus on her NXT U.K. career. She is currently the NXT U.K. Women’s Champion and also a coach for the brand behind the scenes. She was a guest on last week’s Battlemen pro wrestling news and interview show in Japan. She had the NXT U.K. Women’s Title with her at the desk on full display. She did other press as well last week to promote this show and WWE. She talked about the possibility of a “coaching system” being set up one day for WWE in Japan like there is in America and the U.K.

Heidi Katrina was supposed to be on this card but she was not able to make it because of the virus pandemic related issues.

Everyone involved in today’s title matches were brought out with the titles displayed on a table in the ring for the official contract signings. Unlike WWE, there was no arguing or fighting and no tables were flipped over. They presented it as a prestigious and serious moment.

Meiko Satomura came out to the ring with the NXT U.K. Women’s Title and greeted the crowd. This is her hometown. She name dropped NXT U.K. a few times in the speech. She’s done an excellent job of giving the WWE brand PR in Japan and makes the title look credible. A special limited edition t-shirt was being sold at the venue to commemorate her departure.

Yurika Oka pinned Sendai Girls World Junior Champion Mei Hoshizuki after a couple of reversals to win the title. She was also given a trophy and the signed contract as a memento.

Aiger and Rydeen Hagane beat KAORU and Sakura Hirota when Aiger pinned Hirota by using Hirota’s own finisher of collapsing on top of opponents against her.

Aja Kong, Hiroyo Matsumoto, and Ayame Sasamura vs. Ryo Mizunami, Mika Iwata, and Manami when Matsumoto submitted Iwata to the Texas Cloverleaf.

DASH Chisako was introduced to the crowd. She is injured. She was sitting in a wheelchair at the time keeper’s table and stood up with crutches to address the crowd. She was there as the social media reporter for the show Tweeting out results and clips of the matches on her page. Hibiki interrupted her and yelled on the loudspeaker that she always carries around. Andras Miyagi then came out and started yelling too. She was wearing GLEAT gear. She joined Hibiki in mocking Chisako’s injury. They were getting out of hand with the antics and it looked like they were planning to attack Chisako. Mika Iwata ran out and chased them off and then helped Chisako sit back in the wheelchair. It looks like a tag team match once Chisako is medically cleared.

Mio Momono and Rin Kadokura came out with the Marvelous Pro Wrestling banner before the Sendai Girls World Tag Team Titles Match.

Mio Momono and Rin Kadokura beat Sendai Girls World Tag Team Champions Chihiro Hashimoto and Yuu to win the titles when Momono pinned Hashimoto with the Momo Latch. Good match with lots of explosive back and forth action. Hashimoto and Yuu were a dominant team. Hashimoto is still Sendai Girls World Champion and she taunted Momono with the belt. Momono challenged her for the title. The match will take place next month at Korakuen Hall.

Meiko Satomura and Minoru Suzuki beat Nanae Takahashi and Jinsei Shinzaki when Satomura pinned Takahashi after the Scorpio Rising. Suzuki and Takahashi went after each other with slaps and chops. Takahashi got him in a choke submission then later gave him a backdrop suplex. Suzuki put Satomura over on the mic after the match and then left the ring to go to the back to let her have everything to herself.  She said her farewell and bowed to all of the crowd.

This was a highly entertaining and fun match that started off with mat wrestling then transitioned into high impact moves and high flying action. They cut an arrogant promo at Blade and O’Neal after the match then got into a brawl with Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo to lead into the next match.

Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo beat Paris Van Dale and Armani Kayos when Exo pinned Kayos after the Floppy Fish double team finisher.

Willow Nightingale pinned Masha Slamovich after two Death Valley Drivers followed up by a gut wrench powerbomb in a hard hitting back and forth contest. Aside from a little bit of brawling on the outside in the last two matches everything was kept in the ring on most of the the show. There were no doors, chairs, tables, ladders, etc. used at all which was refreshing because it has been way overdone in pro wrestling the last couple of years. This event had good solid wrestling.

Moonshine Mantell beat Castellanos in a steel cage match then was attacked by Haas, Mack, and Castellanos. Salina came out to gloat with them and announced their name was Privilege.

Stewart Fulton, Mark Pickering, and DDT Extreme Champion Chris Brookes are the broadcast team for the English language simulcast. Brookes is always interesting on commentary. He’s very tall and intimidating as a pro wrestler but on these shows he calls the action like a polite Englishman to where you wouldn’t even know that he was a pro wrestler. All the guys have good chemistry and a wealth of pro wrestling knowledge. They call shows like a sport and there’s nobody acting like a “heel announcer”.

Miu Watanabe, Hikari Noa, and Raku performed a song in the ring.

Former TJPW star Azusa Takigawa did the voiceover on the video wall for the announcements of today’s card lineup.

Nodoka Tenma, Yuki Aino, Raku, and Pom Harajuku beat Suzume, Haruna Neko, Moka Miyamoto, and Arisu Endo when Raku pinned Endo after the Dr. Yellow neck breaker in 12:05.

Franky Monet Movie “UNCHAINED” Finally Getting Released

We first reported on the movie “UNCHAINED” back on the old version of “Wrestling... with Demons” in late 2019. It was originally supposed to come out in 2020 but it ended up being delayed. The new release date is scheduled for 7/2/21 as a VOD.

The plot has actress Mair Mulroney playing a young woman who gets kidnapped and taken to a remote compound. She is forced by her captors to fight other women being held prisoner in an underground fighting ring as a sport for rich businessmen. She tries to convince the women to join her in plotting an escape.

Franky Monet is listed in the credits under her former pro wrestler name Taya Valkyrie. We able able to see an advanced screener copy of the film this evening. Valkyrie/Monet has second billing in a prominent role as a tough but fair trainer of the women prisoners in addition to being one of the henchman of the lead bad guy. This is a B action movie but she’s very convincing as the character and nothing like the pretentious and condescending fashionista she plays in pro wrestling on WWE NXT..

Retired pro wrestler Rock Riddle is also in the movie wonderfully hamming it up as the ring announcer for the fights. He was a wrestler and manager in the 1970s to 1980s. He returned to wrestling last decade. He’s had roles in major movies including “Paradise Alley” (as one of the many pro wrestlers in the film written and directed by Sylvester Stallone), “Mad Bull”, and “Blue Collar” (with Richard Pryor and Harvey Keitel).

The always charming Eric Roberts is the movie’s narrator presenting the story as a modern day fairytale to a little girl playing his daughter.

Himeka will be out of action for one or two months because of a lower back to injury. NatsuPoi suffered torn ankle ligaments and will be out at least a month.

The next major event is on 7/4/21 at Yokohama Budokan. The poster has a retro look like a concert poster from the late 1960s. No official word as of this writing if it will be another pay-per-view but it seems likely as the company has been on a roll with the live broadcast shows in the in-ring quality and fan interest levels. All three of the pay-per-views this year are “events of the year” candidates. Here is the lineup so far:

SHINE 67 Results 6/13/21

SHINE results of SHINE 67 from Port Richey, Florida, USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ at Gulf View Event Center on 6/13/21 live on FITE and Club WWN:

The pre-show saw Marti Belle and Allysin Kay talking about their SHINE Tag Team Titles shot tonight against Kimber Lee and Stormie Lee. Belle was trying to teach Kay anger management skills to calm her down. Kay still wants another shot at the SHINE Title too.

SHINE Champion Ivelisse said she will rip Natalia Markova apart piece by piece and remain the champion.

Lenny Leonard is back as the play by play announcer and he introduced Alyssa Marino in the ring as the newest member of the broadcast team. Trevin Adams remains as ring announcer. The ring mic is bad but it sounded like Leonard said Ayla is also on the broadcast team and she came to the ring. Looks like Ayla will be doing interviews and social media. Marino is color commentator.

ACR pinned Karma Dean after a high kick to the head. Ayla did an interview at ringside with ACR after. She said this is women’s professional wrestling and not a cat walk fashion show. She’s there to fight. She said nobody in SHINE took her seriously before but now everyone will recognize she’s a pro.

The Ayla segments are a chance for the women to get promo time experience on live camera.

Harlow O’ Hara pinned Kelsey Reagan after a Fisherman’s DDT. Vipress came out to watch the match but she didn’t interfere. After the match, she slithered over Reagan and raised O’Hara’s arm in victory. They refused to answer any of Ayla’s questions. Vipress shushed her over her mouth with a finger and walked to the back with O’Hara.

Brittany Blake beat The W.O.A.D. by Disqualification when the referee was shoved down. The referee tried to get The W.O.A.D. to stop her corner hip attack on Blake. The W.O.A.D. gave her another corner hip attack after the bell and then gave the referee a Samoan Drop. Security and more referees came out to get the situation under control and they escorted The W.O.A.D. out of the building.

Amber Nova beat Sahara Se7en by arm bar submission in a back and forth battle that looked like it could have gone either way. Nova does a car mechanic gimmick. She gave Ayla a bunch of car puns. She wants to go after the SHINE Nova Title. Her submission finisher is cleverly called The Socket Wrench.

Erica Torres pinned Myka Madrid after her Circle Breaker finisher. Good match between two of the highly underrated regulars of the Texas indie scene. Vipress and Harlow O’Hara walked down to ringside at the finish. After the match, they joined forces with Torres and hovered around Madrid giving her the shush finger. They didn’t do an interview and walked to the back together.

Jayme Jameson is out at ringside with Allysin Kay and Marti Belle for the SHINE Tag Team Titles match. Leonard said Jameson isn’t medically cleared by doctors to compete but still a force to watch out for in the corner.

SHINE Tag Team Champions Kimber Lee and Stormie Lee beat Allysin Kay and Marti Belle when Stormie pinned Belle after Kimber’s swanton bomb. Jayme Jameson’s interference backfired and knocked Kay out of the ring twice at the finish. Lee and Lee started to get along in the post match interview but then they ended up bickering again when they couldn’t decide on their team name.

Natalia Markova is the current SHINE Nova Champion but only the SHINE Title is on the line in the main event.

The W.O.A.D. pulled Markova out of the ring as Ivelisse was coming out and rammed her into the ring post. Ivelisse got in the face of The W.O.A.D. as a bunch of referees, security, and EMTs came out to control The W.O.A.D. and check on Markova.

Ivelisse got on the mic and said people came to see a title match and demanded The W.O.A.D. face her. She did a flying body press on The W.O.A.D. and security. They brawled all over the building as Leonard questioned if it was even an official title match or not. He said The W.O.A.D. might be suspended after all that she’s done tonight.

Trevin Adams announced it was a title match once they finally got into the ring and the referee started the match. Adams went over to the broadcast table and told Leonard that Markova had been taken “to a local medical facility”.

SHINE Champion Ivelisse pinned The W.O.A.D. with an inside cradle after The W.O.A.D. charged at her in the corner but missed. After the match, Allysin Kay and Marti Belle ran in and immediately attacked Ivelisse. Referees and the locker room ran out to separate them. Ivelisse was able to celebrate a little once the chaotic scene was cleared.

There was a noticeable change to the announceing style. Leonard didn’t constantly name drop WWE and NXT like he was doing in the final days of EVOLVE in relationship to SHINE. The only time he mentioned WWE was in reference to WWE Hall of Famers who trained some of the women on the show. He did put over Cody Rhodes and the Nightmare Factory in Atlanta a few times. He also noted that Thunder Rosa, Jazz, and Rodney Mack own the Dogg Pound Dojo in San Antonio.

GAEA “GAEAISM” Results 6/13/21: AAAW Titles And Sendai Girls Titles In Winner Take All

GAEA special event “GAEAISM” pay-per-view results from Tokyo, Japan πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ from Ota City Ward General Gymnasium on 6/13/21 live on ZAIKO:

This event was originally supposed to take place in April 2020 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the first GAEA show. It was postponed because of the virus pandemic. The rescheduled date earlier this year then ended up getting postponed as well because of the state of emergency in Japan due to the ongoing virus pandemic.

The pay-per-view broadcast is only available to buy and view until 6/16/21 at 23:59 Japan Time. It’s $50 USD plus tax.

In the main event, the reactivated AAAW Single and AAW Tag Team Titles (the titles that were sanctioned in GAEA) are up for grabs along with the Sendai Girls World Title and Sendai Girls Tag Team Titles in a “winner take all” Elimination Match with Chihiro Hashimoto, Mika Iwata, and a mystery partner (Team Sendai Girls) vs. Mio Momono, Rin Kadokura, and a mystery (Team Marvelous). The Sendai Girls World Title is currently held by Hashimoto and she’s currently half of the Tag Team Champions with Yuu.

A long video package was shown on the big screen showing clips of matches from GAEA’s ten year run (1995-2005). Also Sprach Zarathustra played as members of the original GAEA roster came to the stage with Chigusa Nagayo out last. They made their way to the ring. Nagayo and Meiko Satomura then made their way back to the stage and stood under the Sendai Girls and Marvelous pro banners as members of those rosters for tonight’s card were introduced into the ring. This was great stuff with lots of pageantry. Satomura and Nagayo then bowed to each other on the stage and walked into the locker room for the event to begin.

The GAEA classic logo is on the mat in full display. There is no commentary at all for the broadcast, just the sounds of the action and the crowd reactions. Tommy Ran is the referee. She still works for groups and was a referee going back to the days of GAEA and All Japan Women.

Mei Hoshizuki, Mikoto Shindo, and Maria beat Manami,Yurika Oka, and Kanon when Hoshizuki pinned Kanon after a drop kick in 13:41. Hard hitting and blistering fast paced action. Kanon got her nose busted up early on and she was gushing blood for a while. She was cleaned up toward the end of the match.

CIMA pinned Leo Isaka after a Meteora in 10:49. They shook hands afterwards.

Sakura Hirota cut a long promo on the video screen to Great Sasuke. She spoke in English at first and did an impression of The Rovk and said “Finally Sakura Hirota has come back to GAEA Japan!”Shr basically said in Japanese that the match will be for her handmade HHH Title belt. She came out to the ring dressed as Akira Hokuto from the 1990s. (Hirota is wrestling in the 6-man later in the show too).

Sakura Hirota pinned Great Sasuke in 10:55 after her finger trigger finisher in the rear end. Comedy match as expected with invisible weapons used.

DASH Chisako pinned Hibiki after the Hormone Splash off a ladder in the ring set up by a diving double stomp off the ladder as Hibiki was wrapped in barb wire and covered in chairs. Hibiki previously wrapped her own self in the barb wire and tried to give Chisako a diving senton off the ladder but missed. Chairs and ladders were pretty much the most weapons used. Lots of action on the ramp and on the floor. Chisako gave Hibiki a flying body press over the stage. Later, Hibiki put Chisako through a table on the floor with a diving senton off the top rope. Time of the fall was 19:49.

Meiko Satomura was mentioned as the WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion in the video package on screen for the semi main event featuring GAEA legends in a 6-man Tag Team Match.

Meiiko Satomura, Chikayo Nagashima, and Toshie Uematsu beat Chigusa Nagayo, KAORU, and Sakura Hirota when Satomura pinned Hirota after Scorpio Rising in 17:31. Fun match and one of the final times to see KAORU in action as she will be retiring this year.

A video package aired showing key history of the AAAW Title matches and the press conference announcing the return of the titles after years of inactivity.

Mei Hoshizuki is the mystery partner for Tram Marvelous. Dash Chisako is the mystery partner of Team Sendai Girls.

Chihiro Hashimoto, Mika Iwata, and DASH Chisako (Team Sendai Girls) vs. Mio Momono, Rin Kadokura, and Mei Hoshizuki  (Team Marvelous).

Rin Kadokura pinned Iwata for the first elimination.

Chisako pinned Hoshizuki after two Michinoku Drivers.  Hoshizuki looked knocked silly. .

Mio pinned Chisako with JK Bomb.

Hashimoto pinned Kadokura after a powerslam

Hashimoto was given the AAAW Single Title and Chisako and Iwata were given the AAAW Tag Team Titles.

Takumi Iroha got in the ring and in the face of Hashimoto. She said she will return to action on 7/19/21.

Hashimoto cut a promo and said Kadokura and Momono could have a tag team titles shot on 6/27/21. It is for the Sendai Girls Tag Team Titles.

Nagayo closed the show. She thanked the crowd and took a bow.

Mission Pro Wrestling “Keep ‘Em Talkin’” Results 6/12/21: #1 con. Tournament

Mission Pro Wrestling “Keep ‘Em Talkin’” results from Buda, Texas, USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ at Pinballz Kingdom on 6/12/21 live on Title Match Network:

We were told before the show started that five women scheduled for tonight are out of action with injuries. They are Madi Wrenkowski (broken nose which was publicized days ago), Kenzie Paige, Lady Frost, Dulce Tormenta, and Alejandra The Lion.

Brittani Nikole is the play by play announcer with Madi Wrenkowski on color.

Rache Chanel was supposed to face Dulce Tormenta in the opener but Tormenta got jumped in an injury angle at ringside by Ava Wilde and The Renegade Twins on behalf of Jazmin Allure. Allure cut a promo and said they are taking over Mission Pro and everyone will have to go through them.

Vert Vixen came out as a substitute for Tormenta. Vixen pinned Rache Chanel after a kick in a #1 con tournament match for the MPW Title.

Baby D. joined the broadcast as guest color commentator. Nikole said it’s 91 out there at the moment.

Alex Gracia pinned Shawna Reed after the Beautiful Nightmare neck breaker in a #1 con. tournament match for the MPW Title.

Jazmin Allure pinned Gypsy Mac after her Tear Drop finisher. Ava Wilde accompanied Allure at ringside and caused distractions. She is Allure’s bodyguard enforcer. This was a #1 con. tournament match for the MPW Title.

JennaCide pinned Savanna Evans after a knee strike to the face in a #1 con. tournament match for the MPW Title. Evans looked good and she was booked as JennaCide’s biggest threat to date.

The next show is 7/31/21 on the road in Conroe, Texas at Southern Star Brewing Company with the second round of the tournament.

Robyn Renegade and Charlotte Renegade beat Killla Kate and Seishin when one of the twins pinned Seishin with a roll up and holding the tights. I have seen Robyn in singles action a few times before but this was my first time seeing the identical twins as a team. They looked like athletes and stars in the making with the “twin magic” heel gimmick. Seishin was the substitute tag team partner of Kate’s because Kenzie Paige is injured.

Holidead won a 3-Way Match over Marti Belle and KiLynn King by kicking King out of the way to steal the pin on Belle.

Thunder Rosa was at the show working as one of the crew. She did the prize raffle for fans just before the main event.

Masha Slamovich moves up the ranks and gets tonight’s title shot due to the injury of Lady Frost.

MPW Champion La Rosa Negra pinned Masha Slamovich after a Frog Splash. Real good match that was a mix of technical wrestling and a brawl. Negra did a dive to Slamovich to the outside into the front row. She grabbed a fan’s beer then took a sip of it and poured the rest on Slamovich’s head before politely handing the bottle back to the fan. Slamovich later responded by giving Negra a chair shot to the head on the outside. Back in the ring, Negra got Slamovich in the Black Thorne submission hold and Slamovich got out of it by biting Negra’s leg. Slamovich gave Negra a German Suplex but couldn’t keep her down.

This was a solid show and they pulled it off very well with all the injuries on the original card.

So it will be Tam Nakano and Giulia vs. NatsuPoi and AZM vs. Mina Shirakawa and Momo Watanabe. NatsuPoi and AZM won when AZM pinned Shirakawa with a cradle in 12:58. After the match, Nakano and Giulia got into a brief slap fight. AZM strongly hinted at wanting a High Speed Title shot at NatsuPoi in the future. NatsuPoi tried to be friendly but AZM shunned her and reminded her that Watanabe is her regular partner. Giulia and Nakano insulted each other on the mic to close out the segment.

All Out War is up next. Pinfall, submission, Disqualification, count outs, and Over The Top Rules for eliminations. Mayu Iwatani, Starlight Kid, Hanan, Koguma, and Rin Kadokura (STARS) vs. Natsuko Tora, Konami, Fukigen Death, Ruaka, and Saki Kashima (Oedo Tai)

Natsuko Tora pinned Starlight Kid. The referee was pulled out of the ring near the finish by Oedo Tai. The eliminated members from both sides jumped into the ring and brawled. Oedo Tai got the advantage and then piled up on Kid to help Tora. As per the stipulation, Kid must join Oedo Tai. Tora gloated at the outcome. Iwatani cried on the mic and apologized to Kid. She promised Kid that she will win her back one day. Oedo Tai tossed Kid around and Tora carried her off to the locker room with ease with a big smile on her face.

The 5-STAR Grand Prix Tournament begins on 7/31/21 at Yokohama Budokan. The finals will be back here at Ota City Ward General Gymnasium on 9/25/21.

Saya Kamitani pinned Maika after a Phoenix Splash set up by a Star Crusher to win the Cinderella Tournament 2021 finals in 15:05. She went backstage to put on the ceremonial Cinderella dress and tiara. After the main event she will be presented the trophy and reveal her “wish” as the reward for winning the tournament.

World of STARDOM Champion Utami Hayashishita went to a 30-minute time limit draw with Syuri in the main event. Syuri cut a fired up promo and said she can keep going. Hayashishita said she’s still champion but would give Syuri another shot. The match continued with more time allowed.

The referee ruled it a double knockout draw when they couldn’t answer the 10 count in 13:19 of Overtime. An exhausted Hayashishita got on the mic and said she defended the title but didn’t really win. Natsuko Tora cut her off and got in the ring. She was holding Starlight Kid’s mask and bragged that Oedo Tai was trending on Twitter. She said she wants the next title shot. Hayashishita agreed and then she collapsed to the mat from exhaustion and had to be helped out of the ring. She did manage to walk to the locker room on her own.

Cinderella Tournament winner Saya Kamitani comes back to the ring in the Cinderella outfit to close out the show. The trophy has a glass slipper on it. Kamitani pauses to take a bunch of photo ops. She beams with pride as she addressed the crowd. She said pro wrestling is her fate and destiny. She wants a title shot at Wonder of STARDOM Champion Tam Nakano as her wish. Nakano looked on at ringside and nodded.
